Hypnotherapy is taking someone into a dream state but without actually going to sleep, uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to achieve an intensified state of awareness that is sometimes called a trance.

At all times you remain aware of your surroundings and it is usually described as a feeling of deep relaxation. The person’s attention is so focused while in this state that anything going on around the person is temporarily ignored.

In this naturally occurring state, a person may focus his or her attention—with the help of a trained therapist—on specific thoughts or tasks only strives to help you unlock an often unused self-power.

What is Counselling?

Counselling falls under the umbrella term ‘talking therapies’ and allows people to discuss their harms and any difficult feelings they come across in a safe, confidential environment.

Counselling is a private and confidential process. You talk in confidence with an experienced, qualified professional who will work with you to help you find ways of coping that are helpful and lasting.

A counsellor is trained to listen with empathy & can help you deal with any negative thoughts; feelings & emotions you have or making you feel uncomfortable. The counsellor is there to support you and respect your views. They won't usually give advice, but will help you find your own insights into and understanding of your problems.
